BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — SM City Baguio and local barangay representatives joined forces for a clean-up drive at the Great Wall of Baguio in Ongasan, Barangay Loakan Proper, underscoring shared responsibility for maintaining public spaces and protecting the environment.
The activity, held on Oct. 9, brought together SM City Baguio’s Customer Relations Services (CRS) team and the SM Baguio Group (SMBG) Security Force, in coordination with CRS Manager Warren C. Lumidao and Barangay Captain Emmanuel Edouard Cayetano, according to SM Supermalls.
The initiative provided an opportunity for personnel from the participating teams to work together outside their routine duties while helping maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding area, the company said.
SM Supermalls said the activity also sought to strengthen camaraderie among security personnel and reinforce the importance of collective responsibility toward the communities they serve.
The Great Wall of Baguio, a locally known name for an area along the Major Mane–Kennon Road bypass project, is situated in the Ongasan area of Loakan Proper.
The site has been identified in local reports as a scenic destination overlooking the surrounding mountain ranges.
The clean-up drive reflects SM City Baguio’s efforts to work with local partners on community and environmental initiatives.
The company said such collaboration supports its commitment to helping keep Baguio clean.
