Mang Inasal launches chocolate-inspired halo-halo for holidays

Mang Inasal has introduced a chocolate-inspired halo-halo variant for the holiday season, adding a limited-time dessert to its menu as the Philippine restaurant chain continues to expand its offerings beyond traditional Filipino favorites.

The Tsoko n’ Nut Yema Halo-Halo will be available nationwide from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 2026, in 12-ounce and 16-ounce servings priced from ₱99, the company said.

The new dessert combines chocolate, peanut and salted caramel yema flavors with Mang Inasal’s signature extra-creamy milk.

Its ingredients include Rocky Road ice cream, chocolate-peanut bars, powdered chocolate, a crunchy chocolate coating and a salted caramel yema drizzle.

The combination gives the traditional Filipino shaved-ice dessert a chocolate-forward variation, incorporating different textures and sweet and salty flavor elements.

Mang Inasal President Mike V. Castro said the company developed the new offering following customer interest in its previous limited-time halo-halo variants.

“Chocolate remains a well-loved flavor among Filipinos, and we believe that the Tsoko n’ Nut Yema Halo-Halo offers an extra creamy and indulgent way to celebrate the Christmas season,” Castro said.

The launch follows the company’s Four-Cheese Halo-Halo in 2025 and its Strawberry Cheesecake Halo-Halo, introduced earlier in 2026.

Food content creators who sampled the dessert ahead of its launch also shared their impressions on social media.

Chewy’s Mukbangs said she was initially expecting the chocolate flavors to dominate but was surprised by the balance of the ingredients, describing the product as her prospective go-to dessert at Mang Inasal during the holidays.

Japanese content creator Shotaro Kumano highlighted the combination of the crunchy chocolate coating, Rocky Road ice cream and chocolate-peanut bars, while foodie content creator Kent Xyrel Espiritu cited the salted caramel yema as a complement to the chocolate flavors.

Espiritu gave the dessert a rating of 10 out of 10 in his social media assessment.

Mang Inasal said the new offering is intended for customers looking for a dessert or afternoon snack during the Christmas season.
