BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Police personnel and criminology interns assisted a man who suffered a seizure at Malcolm Square on Nov. 2 while they were manning an Undas 2026 Police Assistance Desk, the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) said.

PRO CAR said personnel of Baguio City Police Office Station 7, together with criminology interns from universities in the city, responded by carrying the man and coordinating with Baguio City’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to secure prompt medical assistance.

The man was subsequently transported by EMS to a hospital for medical treatment.

He was also referred to the City Social Welfare and Development Office to help locate his family or relatives and facilitate appropriate social welfare assistance, PRO CAR said.

Among those who responded were PSMS Steve Clyde G. Ducas, Pat Regina I. Bugtong, Pat Argonouth D. Paayas and Pat Manuel V. Ngalaan Jr., together with the criminology interns.

Their response underscored the role of police personnel and future criminology professionals in providing immediate public assistance, particularly during major public gatherings when police visibility and community support are essential.

The incident highlighted how public service extends beyond routine law enforcement, with prompt coordination and assistance helping ensure that a person in medical distress receives appropriate care.
