Street-level suspect arrested in Abra drug raid
SALLAPADAN, Abra — A 27-year-old man was arrested in a search warrant operation in Barangay Maguyepyep, Sallapadan, Abra, on Aug. 26, 2026, after authorities seized three sachets of suspected shabu weighing 0.47 grams, with a Standard Drug Price of ₱3,196, along with drug paraphernalia.
Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) said the suspect, identified in official records as a “Street Level Individual,” faces charges under Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation was carried out by the Sallapadan Municipal Police Station, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and 2nd Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company, with support from the Regional Intelligence Division of PRO CAR, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-CAR.
(“PRO CAR continues its relentless campaign against illegal drugs. With public cooperation and inter-agency unity, we will ensure Cordillera remains peaceful and safe for all residents.”)
The arrest underscores the police’s ongoing anti-drug campaign in the region, according to PRO CAR’s press release.
