Tabuk City raids: P2M drugs seized, two arrested

TABUK CITY, Kalinga – In a decisive crackdown on illegal drug activities, joint operatives from Tabuk City Police Station, 1st Kalinga PMFC, PDEU, and the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) executed a search warrant in Tabuk City on May 10, 2024, leading to the apprehension of two individuals engaged in drug trafficking.

The operation resulted in the arrest of a 62-year-old male, identified as a Street Level Individual, after the discovery of a significant quantity of suspected shabu weighing approximately 300 grams, with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php2,040,000.

Additionally, authorities seized 55 ml of marijuana oil and a cache of firearms, including a 5.56mm M16A1 COLT AR15 rifle and various ammunition magazines, totaling 111 live rounds, from his residence in Brgy Nambaran.

In a parallel operation conducted by the same operatives, a 31-year-old male, also listed as a Street Level Individual, was apprehended after operatives found and confiscated suspected shabu weighing approximately 5 grams, with SDP of Php34,000.

Authorities also seized an AR15 COLT 5.56 rifle and a stash of 87 live ammunition for 5.56mm from his residence in Brgy Nambaran.

Following protocol, the arrested suspects and the confiscated evidence have been turned over to the Tabuk City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

Charges for violation of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them, underscoring the authorities’ commitment to combating drug-related crimes in the region.
