BAGUIO CITY — No fare increase has been approved yet for public utility jeepneys (PUJs) in Baguio City for 2025, despite petitions filed by operators seeking adjustments ranging from ₱1.00 to ₱3.00.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board–Cordillera (LTFRB-CAR) began public consultations on November 13, 2025, with drivers and operators to evaluate the petitions.

The hearings focused on rising fuel costs, spare parts, and commuter affordability.

LTFRB officials said the final decision remains pending as the board continues its detailed review, which includes fuel price trends, commuter welfare, and economic conditions.

Until an official order is released, PUJ fares in Baguio remain unchanged.

The consultations in Baguio form part of a nationwide series of hearings on fare hike petitions for buses, jeepneys, taxis, and other public transport modes, all citing inflation and fuel price volatility.
