Watsons Philippines is listing free blood pressure and electrocardiogram (ECG) checks at SM City Baguio from Oct. 1 to 31 as part of its health services initiative, according to a company-issued media release.
The checks give consumers an opportunity to monitor selected health indicators and seek medical advice if needed.
The Baguio activity is part of a broader set of health services Watsons says it offers to consumers.
For October, Watsons also announced a partnership with Diabetes Philippines Inc. to provide diabetes and chronic kidney disease (CKD) screening at selected stores.
Urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) screening can help identify signs of kidney damage, but results require appropriate medical interpretation and may need further assessment.
Screening alone does not establish a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease.
Watsons also said it offers free teleconsultations with doctors, including guidance on general wellness and weight management.
Consumers interested in these services may contact the company’s hotline at (02) 7919-9999, Watsons said.
Vaccination appointments can also be booked through the Watsons Philippines online store or mobile application, the company said.
“Preventive healthcare becomes more meaningful when people have more opportunities to access it as part of their everyday lives,” said Danilo S. Chiong, managing director of Watsons Philippines, in a statement included in the release.
The company said its continuing health initiatives aim to make health monitoring and professional guidance more accessible.
Watsons also cited its Click & Collect and Express Delivery services for customers purchasing health and wellness products online.
