Qualified Social Security System (SSS) members with a monthly salary credit (MSC) of ₱10,000 or less may receive up to ₱8,000 in government financial assistance beginning Oct. 30, under the expanded UPLIFT Assistance program, the state-run pension fund said.
In a news release dated Oct. 28, the SSS said the assistance would be distributed in four tranches of ₱2,000 each and credited directly to beneficiaries’ registered SSS disbursement accounts.
The program, implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in coordination with the SSS, was expanded to cover qualified members with MSCs of ₱10,000 or less, in addition to those previously covered under the program’s broader eligibility threshold of up to ₱20,000.
However, an MSC within the prescribed limit does not automatically qualify a member for the assistance, the SSS said.
Applicants must have paid at least one SSS contribution in 2025 or 2026, be listed in the Philippine Statistics Authority’s 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) database, and have enrolled their disbursement accounts through the SSS Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM) within the prescribed period.
The SSS advised members to check their My.SSS accounts for official notifications confirming their eligibility.
Further payouts scheduled for November
Separately, qualified SSS members with an MSC of ₱20,000 are scheduled to receive the third and fourth tranches of assistance, totaling ₱4,000, on Nov. 6, according to the agency.
Beneficiaries who have not received any previous payment will receive the full ₱8,000, while those who have already received the first two tranches, totaling ₱4,000, will receive the remaining ₱4,000.
The SSS said the payments would be credited to beneficiaries’ registered disbursement accounts.
The agency’s announcement did not provide a total number of beneficiaries or the overall funding allocation for the expanded rollout.
