PRO CAR deploys police to schools, promotes Unified 911
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — The Police Regional Office–Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) has intensified security operations across public and private schools in the Cordillera as classes continue, deploying police personnel to help ensure the safety of students, teachers and school employees.
The regional police office said the deployment forms part of its continuing effort to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment throughout the region.
Police officers assigned to schools will enhance security visibility in and around campuses while assisting in traffic management, crime prevention and emergency response, according to PRO CAR.
The police force said it is coordinating closely with school administrators, local government units and community stakeholders to strengthen campus safety measures and support uninterrupted learning activities.
PRO CAR also urged residents to use the Unified 911 Emergency Hotline during emergencies, accidents, crimes or other incidents requiring immediate assistance.
The hotline enables requests for assistance to be quickly relayed to appropriate emergency response units, helping authorities respond more efficiently to situations affecting public safety, the regional police office said.
The strengthened security measures come as schools across the Cordillera continue to accommodate learners for the new academic year, with authorities emphasizing the importance of maintaining secure and conducive learning environments.
