BANGUED, Abra — The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) joined the celebration of the 109th Abra Foundation Day and Abrenian Kawayan Festival 2026 at the Abra Sports Complex in Bangued on March 6, reinforcing police support for peace and development efforts in the province.
PBGEN Julio S. Lizardo, deputy regional director for administration, represented the regional police leadership during the program alongside PCOL Charles L. Domallig, provincial director of the Abra Police Provincial Office.
Lizardo and representatives from partner national government agencies delivered messages during the ceremony, which gathered provincial officials, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
Abra Gov. Eustaquio P. Bersamin also addressed participants, highlighting the importance of cooperation among government institutions and local communities in advancing development initiatives.
The event featured several key activities, including the distribution of farm equipment to agrarian reform beneficiaries, the ceremonial declaration of the Strategic Support for the Implementation of Peace and Security (SSIPS), and the signing of a pledge of commitment to peace and progress.
Police officials said PRO CAR’s participation reflects its continuing partnership with local government units, national agencies, and the public to strengthen peace and security initiatives across the Cordillera region.
