BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two athletes from Baguio City carried the Philippine flag at the Singapore International Masters Track & Field Championship, winning six medals despite the country’s very small delegation of only three representatives.

Jayson Castillo, an alumnus of Saint Louis University, led the team with five podium finishes in the men’s 40–44 category: gold in the 100m and long jump, silver in the 200m and high jump, and bronze in the 400m.

Mark Jason Quiñones, also from Baguio City, added silver in the men’s 35–39 200m.

Their combined efforts accounted for six of the Philippines’ seven medals, with Asad Raza contributing gold in the men’s 50–54 5000m.

Sources said the June 6–7 meet drew veteran athletes from across Asia, underscoring the resilience of Filipino Masters competitors and the growing presence of Baguio athletes on the international stage.
