BAGUIO CITY – The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) recently marked its anniversary with the theme “Honoring our Journey: Celebrating Baguio City Police Office with Sustainability, Resilience, and Innovation through the Years and Beyond.”

The commemorative event, led by PRO Cordillera Chief Regional Staff PCOL Julio S. Lizardo and attended by esteemed guests including Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, recognized the exemplary efforts of ten city police stations and six outstanding personnel.

The commemorative event was held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in Baguio City.

Mayor Magalong praised the courage of Baguio cops in maintaining peace and order, aligning with the government’s objectives for a harmonious community.

Special awards were presented to stations for achievements ranging from community relations to law enforcement campaigns, while individual awardees were honored for their exceptional contributions to administration and operations.

These awards underscore the BCPO’s steadfast dedication to the mission of the Philippine National Police, ensuring the safety and security of Baguio City residents.

Special awardees for Calendar Year 2023 included:

  • BCPO Naguilian Police Station for its remarkable community relations activities in partnership with KKDAT members, earning the esteemed title of Most Significant Accomplishment in Community Relations.
  • BCPO Camdas Police Station for its relentless campaign against Illegal Drugs, earning recognition as the Most Significant Accomplishment in the fight against illegal drugs.
  • BCPO Pacdal Police Station for its effective implementation of the anti-illegal gambling campaign securing the title of Most Significant Accomplishment in Implementation of Presidential Decree 1602.
  • BCPO Loakan Police Station for fostering the Most Peaceful Barangay, exemplifying its commitment to maintaining harmony and order.
  • BCPO Legarda Police Station for standing out the Most Friendly Police Station in Baguio, embodying approachability and community engagement.
  • BCPO Aurora Hill Police Station for earning top marks in the overall BCPO Unit Performance Evaluation Rating, underscoring its commitment to excellence across all fronts.
  • BCPO Abanao Police Station for its effective implementation of City Ordinance No. 53 series of 2009, earning accolades for outstanding execution.
  • BCPO Kennon Police Station for its commendable efforts in the Arrest of Wanted Persons, contributing significantly to law enforcement endeavors.
  • BCPO Irisan Police Station for its exemplary discipline, earning distinction as the Most Disciplined Police Station.
  • BCPO Marcos Highway Police Station for its effective implementation of R.A. 10591, showcasing dedication to firearms regulation and public safety.

  • PCPT George B. Juliano, Jr. – Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for Administration.
  • PLTCOL Zacarias Caloy P. Dausen – Best Junior PCO for Operations.

  • PMSg Ramil B. Binwag – Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) for Operations.

  • NUP Marites V. Tamio – Best NUP for Non-Supervisory Level.
