Bagayao formally assumed the rank during an oath-taking and donning of ranks ceremony at the PRO CAR Multi-Purpose Center at Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, according to a news release issued by PRO CAR.

PRO CAR Regional Director Brig. Gen. Noel B. Vallo administered the donning of the new insignia.

Vallo, in his congratulatory message, commended Bagayao for his professionalism, competence and commitment to public service.

He said the promotion carried increased accountability and higher expectations.

“As you proudly wear your new rank, I encourage you to look beyond the insignia on your shoulders. Let it serve as a constant reminder of the responsibilities, expectations, and challenges that come with your new position,” Vallo said.

Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Regional Director for Administration Brig. Gen. Julio S. Lizardo; Deputy Regional Director for Operations Col. Froiland B. Lopez; National Police Commission provincial director for Benguet Atty. Zane Mark D.
