BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Baguio City officials and Filipino-Chinese community leaders have confirmed the Spring Festival Grand Colorful Parade will take place Feb. 18, 2026, as part of the broader Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) celebrations running Feb. 9–22 across the Summer Capital of the Philippines.
The parade proper is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m., with participant assembly at 1 p.m., the Festival director said.
The procession will weave through Session Road — the city’s historic main thoroughfare — and culminate at the Melvin Jones Grandstand, showcasing vibrant floats, lion and dragon dance troupes, and cultural contingents representing schools, civic groups, and business associations.
The annual spectacle, traditionally held in conjunction with the Chinese Lunar New Year Spring Festival, reflects Baguio’s long-standing cultural ties with its Filipino-Chinese community and draws locals and visitors alike to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse.
Organizers said the parade promises “colorful pageantry and rhythmic performances,” echoing Baguio’s commitment to cultural diversity and community cohesion.
Local authorities have also activated safety and crowd-management protocols ahead of the event.
The festivities are part of a wider calendar of cultural activities that also support local economic activity, alongside major events such as Panagbenga, which began on Feb. 1.
