
BAGUIO CITY — Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, Chair of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), issued Memorandum No. 14, s. 2025 dated July 17, raising the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) alert status from blue to red effective July 18, 2025, in response to Tropical Depression Crising enhanced by the southwest monsoon (habagat), expected to bring heavy rains over Northern Luzon for the next three days.
The following offices are directed to be on full alert:
Smart City Command Center (SC3)
CDRRMO
Public Information Office (PIO)
Barangay DRRMCs
These agencies are tasked with coordinating timely and accurate response with all frontline and warning authorities.
Barangay officials are urged to monitor their areas and conduct pre-emptive evacuations in flood- and landslide-prone communities.
Evacuations must be coordinated with the CDRRMC, Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for safety, security, and rescue.
The City Social Welfare & Development Office (CSWDO) and City Veterinary & Agricultural Office (CVAO), with support from the City Treasurer’s Office, will ensure the readiness of evacuation centers, and the availability of food, non-food items, and funds.
Additionally, Mayor Magalong announced the suspension of classes in all levels from preschool to senior high school (both public and private) on July 18, 2025, for the safety of students and school personnel.
In case of emergencies, the public is advised not to hesitate to call 911.
