Driver cited after Toyota Revo crashes sidewalk in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY — At approximately 10:09 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2025, a red Toyota Revo veered off the road and rammed over a sidewalk after making a right turn from Leonard Wood Road toward Teachers Camp in Baguio City.

The vehicle crossed from the rightmost lane all the way to the left, mounting the sidewalk and coming to a halt.

Fortunately, no pedestrians were nearby at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Personnel from Baguio City Police Station 3, led by Police Corporal Ron del Guzman, quickly responded to the incident.

The officers assisted in guiding the vehicle safely back onto the road.

According to police, the driver—who was heading home to Saint Joseph Village, where he resides—admitted he fell asleep while driving.

He was issued a citation ticket for reckless driving.

Authorities are reminding the public about the dangers of drowsy driving and the importance of staying alert behind the wheel.
