Star Local opens registration for singing tilt at SM Baguio

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines (Feb. 12, 2026) — The Philippine STAR has opened registration for the Star Local Singing Competition as part of the NakakaLocal Bazaar Year 4 Leg 8 at SM City Baguio, calling on aspiring singers to showcase their talent through original Filipino music.

Interested participants must submit a two-minute video performing any OPM (Original Pilipino Music) song via the official registration link before the deadline of Feb. 13, 2026 at 11:59 a.m.

Selected entrants will be contacted by a Philippine STAR representative and invited to perform live on Feb. 27, 2026 at The Mall Atrium of SM City Baguio during the #NakakaLocal Bazaar event.

Two finalists will each receive PHP 5,000 in cash prizes and secure slots at the Grand Finals during the 2026 NakakaBazaar event.

The Grand Champion will earn an exclusive artist management contract with VIVA Artist Management, one of the country’s leading talent agencies.

Organizers said the competition aims to spotlight emerging local talent while celebrating Filipino music in a community-driven platform.

The NakakaLocal Bazaar, now in its fourth year, continues to serve as a venue for promoting homegrown brands and creative industries alongside performance showcases.
