Sol Go files candidacy for Baguio’s 2025 congressional seat

BAGUIO CITY – Soledad “Sol” Go, a well-established advocate for livelihood and education in Baguio, officially filed her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the city’s lone congressional district in the 2025 Philippine General Elections.

Running under the banner of “Team Maka-Baguio Tayo,” Go submitted her candidacy at the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Baguio Office on the morning of October 3, 2024, accompanied by fellow candidates, community leaders, and a large group of supporters.

Go is running alongside her husband, incumbent congressman Mark Go, who is now vying for the position of mayor, and incumbent councilor Mylen Yaranon, who is running for vice mayor.

Aside from Mark Go and Mylen Yaranon, Sol Go’s slate features incumbent city councilors Betty Lourdes “Lulu” Tabanda, Elmer Datuin, and Leandro Yangot, former councilors Elaine Sembrano and Joel Alangsab, media leader Edong Carta, barangay kagawad Standford Ang, and prominent figures JD Balajadia-Tabora, Edison Bilog, Mike Humiding, Michael Lawana, and Esther Litilit.
