BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — SM City Baguio marked the 128th Philippine Independence Day with a flag-raising ceremony in partnership with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, bringing together mall employees, tenants, and partners in a public display of national unity and remembrance.

The ceremony underscored themes of patriotism, resilience, and civic responsibility as participants honored Filipino heroes whose sacrifices secured the country’s independence.

Organized in line with SM Supermalls’ community engagement initiatives, the event highlighted shared reflections on nation-building and the continuing role of civic institutions in fostering national identity.

SM Supermalls said the observance is part of its continuing commitment to host meaningful public spaces and programs that encourage unity, leadership, and civic pride during key national milestones.

The Independence Day activity forms part of a broader series of commemorative events held across SM properties nationwide.
