BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. officially introduced its latest foldable smartphones — the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 — along with the Galaxy Watch8 Series during an exclusive Galaxy Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York on July 9 (10:00 PM, Philippine time), livestreamed worldwide.
This year’s lineup showcases Samsung’s growing fusion of design, AI, and durability across devices.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 offer a more powerful foldable experience with thinner form factors, enhanced AI tools, and reengineered displays, while the Galaxy Watch8 Series delivers more personalized wellness insights and the brand’s thinnest, most comfortable smartwatch yet.
“This next chapter of foldables brings together design and engineering, with AI built specifically for the foldable form,” said TM Roh, President and Acting Head of the Device eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is the thinnest and lightest in the Fold series to date and features an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with peak brightness up to 2,600 nits.
Built with a new Armor FlexHinge and stronger Ultra-Thin Glass, it combines portability with immersive productivity.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the Fold7 handles real-time AI tasks like generative editing, live translation, and smart multitasking with ease.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is designed for self-expression and style, packing Galaxy AI into a compact flip design.
It now supports Dual Preview and Auto Zoom for better content creation, and offers meaningful personalization tools like Suggested Replies and Galaxy AI-generated wallpapers.
Also announced was the Galaxy Watch8 Series, including the Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and Watch Ultra.
These wearables focus on continuous health tracking, advanced coaching tools, and comfortable wear.
New wellness features like Bedtime Guidance, Antioxidant Index, and AI-powered Energy Score help users monitor everything from sleep and stress to vascular load and mood.
The watches also introduce Gemini, Google’s new AI assistant, and run on Wear OS 6 and One UI 8 Watch.
The Galaxy Watch8 is Samsung’s thinnest smartwatch yet, now with improved GPS, a brighter screen, and a more intuitive design.
It also debuts features like Running Coach, High Stress Alerts, and enhanced Together challenges.
