CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – In line with the celebration of World Environment Day, the PRO-CAR cops participated in simultaneous clean-up drive activities in Abra, Mountain Province, and Baguio City on June 5, 2024.
In Abra, the Abante Cops of the 1st and 2nd Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company, along with personnel from the DENR-Abra, barangay officials, and residents, conducted clean-up drive activities in Brgy. Nagcanasan, Pilar, and Brgy. Sta. Rosa, Bangued.
The team collected garbage such as tin cans, discarded clothes, and plastic bottles and segregated it.
Moreover, in Mountain Province, the Inayan Cops of the 1502nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, Tadian Municipal Police Station, CENRO-Sabangan, the Philippine Army, and residents collected trash in Brgy. Kayan West, Tadian.
The team worked hand in hand to pick up scattered trash along the road.
Further, in Baguio City, the Napino Cops of Camdas Police Station, together with barangay officials and University of the Cordilleras Criminology interns, cleaned the waterway and surroundings of Buyog Watershed and areas of Brgy. Lower Pinget.
These activities seek to engage communities in environmental initiatives, and as we celebrate World Environment Day, the PRO-CAR cops aim to highlight the importance of protecting the environment and raise awareness about caring for the environment by taking supportive actions.
