New chiefs assume command in Baguio City Police Office

BAGUIO CITY – The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) witnessed the assumption of roles by the newly appointed Chiefs of the City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) and Tourist Police Unit (TPU) in a formal and symbolic transition during separate Turnover and Assumption of Office Ceremonies held on January 11, 2024.

At the BCPO Kapanalig Hall ceremony, PMAJ Czymeere Nicanor A. Valencerina formally took charge as the Acting Force Commander of CMFC.

He succeeds the outgoing Force Commander, PLTCOL Renny D. Lizardo.

The event was a significant moment, emphasizing the continuity of leadership and commitment to public service within the CMFC.

Simultaneously, at the Rose Garden in Burnham Park, PMAJ Roger Kurt L. Pacificar assumed his role as the new Chief of TPU, succeeding the outgoing Chief, PMAJ Jeffrey E. Salvador.

The ceremony at Burnham Park underlined the strategic importance of the Tourist Police Unit in maintaining the safety and security of the city’s visitors.

Both ceremonies were graced by the presence of the City Director of BCPO, PCOL Francisco B. Bulwayan, Jr., serving as the administering officer.

The events were marked by the ceremonial turnover of the command symbol, property book, and equipment inventory, symbolizing the official transfer of responsibilities and authority to the newly appointed chiefs.
