Mang Inasal launches TikTok series celebrating Ihaw-Sarap moments
MANILA, Philippines — Mang Inasal has launched its first narrative series on TikTok, bringing its “Ihaw-Sarap” and “Unli-Saya” dining experience to the short-form video platform through an eight-episode campaign inspired by real-life moments shared over its meals.
The series, titled “Kaing Mang Inasal Stories,” debuted on Valentine’s Day with actors JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith portraying a couple on their first date at the restaurant chain.
The premiere episode centered on the awkward yet relatable dynamics of a first date, showing the pair easing into comfort as they shared Mang Inasal favorites.
The video quickly gained traction online, with viewers commenting on how the casual setting made it easy to drop pretenses.
“Ganyan talaga sa Mang Inasal, makakalimutan mong demure ka sa sobrang komportable at sarap ng pagkain,” one user wrote, noting how dining at the chain creates a relaxed atmosphere.
Mang Inasal President Mike V. Castro said the series forms part of the company’s ongoing “Kaing Mang Inasal” campaign.
“It is a celebration of the Mang Inasal experience — grill expertise, abundance, and the no-judgment, come-as-you-are warm ambiance in our restaurants,” Castro said.
New episodes will be released every Friday at 3 p.m. until April.
