LOO, BUGUIAS, Benguet — In a joint operation conducted by the Buguias Municipal Police Station (MPS), Regional Intelligence Unit 14 (RIU 14), and Benguet 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Mr. Alex Bensosan Cabansi, a 55-year-old married farmer residing in Loo, Buguias, Benguet, was apprehended at 3:30 PM on June 29, 2023.
The arrest of Mr. Cabansi was carried out based on a Warrant of Arrest issued on June 19, 2023, by Hon. Daniel D. Mangallay, the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 64, First Judicial Region, Buguias, Benguet.
The warrant was issued in connection with two counts of Rape under Criminal Case No. 2070-CR-23 and 2071-CR-23, both without bail, as well as another case of Statutory Rape under Criminal Case No. 2072-CR-23, also without bail.
Buguias MPS took custody of the accused for necessary documentation before presenting him and returning the warrant of arrest to the concerned court.
During the operation, an Alternative Recording Device was used by the arresting team to ensure proper evidence collection.
