TUBA, BENGUET – In a bid to support local farmers and enhance agricultural sustainability, DMCI Homes has partnered with the Tuba Agri Tourism Community (TATC) to promote agri-tourism in the municipality of Tuba, Benguet.
This collaboration, solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony at Cabin in the Sky, Bayacsan, Taloy Sur, aims to create livelihood opportunities for farmers while introducing Moncello Crest guests to the agricultural heritage of the Cordillera region.
Representing DMCI Homes at the signing event were Vice President for Hospitality and Leisure Florence Loreto, Vice President for Project Development Dennis Yap, Chief Finance Officer Evangeline Atchioco, and Vice President for Marketing Jan Venturanza.
TATC Chairperson Sharon Bitso and Vice Chairperson Jennelyn Saingan signed on behalf of the farming community, with Tuba Municipal Agriculturist Flordelizo Abance and Tuba Municipal Tourism Head Annabelle Degawan also in attendance.

Empowering Farmers Through Market Access and Agri-Tourism
As one of Benguet’s thriving agricultural areas, Tuba has gained recognition as an eco-agri tourism hub.
Its farms offer visitors immersive experiences, including farm-to-table dining, fruit picking, and guided agricultural tours.
These activities provide tourists with a deeper appreciation of the region’s farming traditions while generating economic benefits for local farmers.
Through this partnership, Moncello Crest guests will have the opportunity to visit farms, purchase fresh produce directly from farmers, and engage in hands-on farming experiences.
In addition, DMCI Homes is exploring the possibility of designating selling spaces within Moncello Crest and other properties to further expand market access for Tuba farmers.
Beyond tourism-driven benefits, DMCI Homes has committed to supporting the farming community through skills training, financial assistance, and infrastructure enhancements.
These initiatives aim to improve agricultural productivity and economic stability among local farmers.
“We want Moncello Crest guests to truly experience the beauty of Tuba by connecting with the hardworking farmers who make this region special,” Loreto said.
Yap emphasized the broader impact of the initiative, stating, “This partnership with TATC will not only create a meaningful experience for our guests but also help the local community, especially the farmers, thrive.”
TATC Chairperson Sharon Bitso expressed her appreciation for DMCI Homes’ efforts, highlighting that the partnership will provide much-needed market access and skills training for the farmers.
“DMCI Homes has been really supportive. This partnership, especially the market access and skills training, will be a big help to our farmers,” she said.

Sustainable Agri-Tourism as a Driver for Local Growth
The partnership between DMCI Homes and TATC aligns with the vision of fostering sustainable agriculture while promoting tourism in Tuba.
Moncello Crest, located along Marcos Highway, serves as an eco-agri condotel that integrates nature, tourism, and community development.
By ensuring that agriculture remains at the heart of this venture, DMCI Homes aims to contribute to the long-term prosperity of Tuba’s farming sector.
With breathtaking mountain views and a refreshing highland breeze, Moncello Crest is poised to attract visitors seeking an authentic farm experience.
As DMCI Homes continues to integrate into the local community, its collaboration with TATC ensures that both tourism and agriculture flourish side by side, bringing lasting benefits to farmers and residents alike.
