

BAGUIO CITY – Personnel of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) successfully arrested the Cordillera Region’s number 1 and number 4 Top Most Wanted Persons in separate operations conducted on January 16, 2025, in Middle Quezon Hill and San Carlos Heights, Irisan, respectively.
In a report submitted to BCPO City Director PCOL Ruel D. Tagel, the number 1 Top Most Wanted Person, a 37-year-old man, was apprehended by operatives of BCPO Police Station 10.
He faces multiple charges, including six counts of Statutory Rape, five counts of Qualified Rape of a minor, seven counts of Sexual Assault, and Acts of Lasciviousness under Republic Act 7610, also known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
Meanwhile, the number 4 Top Most Wanted Person, a 36-year-old construction worker, was arrested by BCPO Police Station 9.
He is charged with two counts of Rape in relation to Republic Act 7610, as well as Acts of Lasciviousness.
The operations were conducted with the assistance of multiple units, including the City Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Unit-14, City Intelligence Unit, City Investigation and Detective Management Unit, BCPO Police Station 2, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-15.
The successful arrests underscore BCPO’s commitment to curbing Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) and related crimes, ensuring the safety and security of women and children in the city.
