LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — Dionisio Doligas Bonoy officially assumed post as acting provincial director of the Benguet Police Provincial Office during an Assumption of Command Ceremony at Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad on May 13.

The ceremony was presided over by Ericson D. Dilag, regional director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region, and attended by Benguet Gov. Melchor D. Diclas, provincial police officials, force commanders, chiefs of police and other personnel.

During the ceremony, Lee Allan B. Bauding, chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division of PRO CAR, read the official orders terminating the tenure of the former provincial director and designating Bonoy as acting provincial director.

A symbolic turnover of the office symbol and property equipment inventory book highlighted the ceremony, formally transferring command authority and accountability over the Benguet PPO to Bonoy.

In his assumption speech, Bonoy pledged to strengthen collaboration with local government units and continue fair, service-oriented policing across the province.

He acknowledged the challenges of leadership and vowed to give his utmost effort in leading the men and women of the Benguet PPO.

Dilag commended the outgoing provincial director for his contributions and expressed confidence in Bonoy’s leadership capability, saying the new acting provincial director is expected to lead the organization toward continued progress, stronger public service and effective law enforcement.

“Asahan mi a ti baru a leadership mo ket mangyeg iti ad-adu pay a progreso, panagkaykaysa, ken balligi para iti buo nga kapulisan ti Benguet PPO ken ti probinsya iti Benguet” (We expect that your new leadership will bring even greater progress, unity and success for the entire Benguet PPO police force and the province of Benguet), Dilag said.
