BAGUIO CITY – The Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO), together with representatives from the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO), conducted an ocular inspection at Forbes Park along South Drive, Baguio City on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
The purpose was to identify the area that BENECO will adopt as part of its environmental initiatives under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
Earlier, BENECO signed a memorandum of agreement with the Baguio city government for the project after expressing its intent to adopt a part of the park.

CEPMO allocated 1,000 square meters of Parcel No. 2 within the park to BENECO for a three-year period.
During this time, BENECO will be responsible for maintaining and protecting existing vegetation, planting new seedlings, safeguarding the area from animal grazing and vandalism, and performing weeding, brushing, cultivation, and other silvicultural practices.
