BDO Pay turns everyday spending into everyday rewards
MANILA — For many Filipinos, paying with a smartphone has become second nature. Whether buying groceries, dining out, paying utility bills or topping up mobile load, cashless transactions have steadily become part of daily life.
Increasingly, however, consumers are looking beyond convenience and asking a simple question: What more can I get from every peso I spend?
That shift is reshaping the appeal of digital payments, with consumers gravitating toward platforms that combine speed, security and tangible rewards.
BDO Pay is positioning itself to meet that demand by transforming routine purchases into opportunities to save money, earn rewards and enjoy exclusive offers without changing spending habits.
The mobile payment app allows users to pay directly from their BDO bank account or BDO Credit or Debit Card through its Scan to Pay feature, eliminating the need to transfer funds or maintain a separate e-wallet balance.
The result is a seamless payment experience designed around transactions consumers already make every day.
Beyond convenience, the app rewards regular spending through a range of limited-time promotions.
Users can receive discounts of up to 35% at participating restaurants in SM Aura, complimentary treats at Classic Savory, eGift Card rewards on purchases at participating SM retail stores, and Rewards Peso Points when paying bills or purchasing prepaid mobile load.
The accumulated Rewards Peso Points, along with eligible BDO Credit Card points, may be redeemed for eGift Cards, converted into cash credits or transferred to participating rewards programs, giving users greater flexibility in how they use their incentives.
As digital payments continue gaining ground across the Philippines, rewards and value-added benefits are becoming key factors influencing consumer choice.
Rather than simply replacing cash, payment platforms are increasingly becoming tools for stretching household budgets and maximizing everyday purchases.
From dining and shopping to paying monthly utilities, BDO Pay brings multiple payment options and promotional offers into a single application, allowing users to make routine transactions while earning additional value along the way.
The app is available for download through the App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery. Complete promotional mechanics and the list of participating merchants are available on the BDO website.
