BAGUIO CITY — The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) successfully apprehended two high-profile fugitives on December 3, 2024, in separate operations conducted in Baguio City and Cauayan City, Isabela.
Top 4 Most Wanted Suspect Arrested in Baguio City
In a joint operation, BCPO personnel, along with the City Intelligence Unit, City Investigation and Detective Management Unit, Mobile Patrol Unit, Technical Support Company-Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, and Regional Intelligence Unit 14, arrested a 24-year-old male suspect in Upper Pinget, Baguio City.
The arrest was made pursuant to a warrant of arrest issued by the Baguio City Regional Trial Court on November 26, 2024, for the crime of rape.
The suspect, listed as the Number 4 Top Most Wanted Person in the city, is under the custody of BCPO Police Station 5 for documentation and disposition before being turned over to the issuing court.
Regional High-Value Individual Apprehended in Isabela
In a separate operation, operatives of the Regional Intelligence Division of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR), in coordination with the Cauayan Component City Police Station (CCPS) and the Isabela Police Provincial Office, arrested a 26-year-old female suspect in Cauayan City, Isabela.
The individual, classified as one of the Regional Priority Ten High-Value Individuals of PRO-CAR, was apprehended under a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court of Baguio City on November 17, 2023, for violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
The suspect is currently detained at the Cauayan CCPS for documentation and will be turned over to the issuing court.
The BCPO stated that these operations are part of its ongoing initiatives to improve crime solution efficiency under the leadership of City Director PCOL Ruel D. Tagel.
