BAGUIO CITY — Despite multiple resolutions and repeated requests in past years, the City Government of Baguio continues to receive insufficient updates and information on infrastructure projects undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways-Baguio City District Engineering Office (DPWH-BCDEO).
Through Resolution 280-2025, the city council once again requests the DPWH-BCDEO and DPWH-Cordillera to coordinate the implementation of all projects in the city with the city government through the City Engineering Office (CEO).
Through the resolution, the city council once again emphasized the need for proper coordination to prevent overlapping of local and national projects, ensure alignment with the city’s development plans, and address community concerns before project rollout.
This is not the first time the city council raised this matter.
Seven similar measures were previously passed from 2018 to 2024.
The city officials underscored once more that only through partnership and transparency can projects genuinely serve the people of Baguio.
