3 arrested, Php3.96M drugs seized in Cordillera anti-drug operations

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – The PRO Cordillera cops have arrested three drug personalities and seized a total of Php3.96M worth of illegal drugs in the anti-illegal drugs operations conducted in Benguet on May 2, 2024.

Based on reports submitted to PRO Cordillera Regional Director PBGEN David K. Peredo, Jr., separate buy-bust operations conducted by joint operatives of the Benguet Police Provincial Office and PDEA-CAR in Benguet resulted in the arrest of two males, aged 26 and 21, both designated as High Value Individuals (HVI).

The two were arrested in Brgy Betag, La Trinidad.

Additionally, a 23-year-old male Street Level individual (SLI) was apprehended in Brgy Poblacion, Kibungan.

Confiscated from the suspects were 33 pieces of dried marijuana leaves in tubular form weighing more or less (MOL) 33 kilograms with a total Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php3,960,000.00.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of the respective unit in charge for documentation and proper disposition.

Further, the suspects will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
