LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — The Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office (DARPO) in Benguet has distributed land titles and farm support equipment to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and organizations, reinforcing land security and agricultural productivity in the province.

During a March 23 event in Pico, La Trinidad, DARPO awarded 44 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) to 71 ARBs, covering more than 57.4 hectares of agricultural land.

The agency also handed out 13 electronic land titles under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project to nine ARBs from Sablan town, further strengthening land tenure security.

Alongside land distribution, five agrarian reform beneficiaries’ organizations (ARBOs) received farm machinery and equipment worth around Php 600,000 under the Climate-Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) Project.

The assistance, delivered through the project’s Sustainable Livelihood Support and Major Crop-Based Block Farm Productivity Enhancement components, included a coffee roaster, motorized coffee pulper, and high-density polyethylene hoses.

Among the recipients were farmers’ groups from Atok, Sablan, and La Trinidad, including cooperatives and indigenous farmers’ associations engaged in coffee and crop production.

Other equipment distributed to farmer groups included a hand tractor, power generator, water tank, electric motor, grass cutter, garden hoses, and knapsack sprayers, aimed at improving farm efficiency and output.

Officials reminded beneficiaries to safeguard their land titles and comply with requirements such as updating tax declarations and paying real property taxes to maintain ownership records.

The activity forms part of ongoing agrarian reform efforts in the Cordillera region and coincided with the observance of National Women’s Month 2026.
