
Kalinga ARBs receive 714 CLOAs, P30M worth of farm machinery
TABUK CITY, Kalinga — Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III spearheaded a momentous effort to empower agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) through the distribution of 714 Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) and the official turnover of farm machinery and equipment with a total value of P30.145 million at the Tabuk City Gymnasium on Friday, June 23, 2023.
According to a statement issued by DAR-Cordillera, a total of 772 deserving ARBs were awarded CLOAs, encompassing a vast land area of 1,201.8922 hectares.
This significant achievement not only grants land ownership rights but also provides long-term security and stability for the beneficiaries.
In addition, the official turnover of farm machinery and equipment (FME) aims to enhance the productivity and income of 24 agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) and a total of 960 ARBs in Kalinga.
The equipment transferred during the turnover ceremony comprised an array of essential farming machinery, including:
- Three (3) units of Combine Harvester with Trailer
- Three (3) units of Tractor with Rotovator and Trailer
- Four (4) units of Tractor with Corn Kit and Trailer
- Sixteen (16) units of Grasscutter
- Six (6) units of Hand Tractors
- Twenty-five (25) units of Mini-power tillers
- One (1) Rotovator
- One (1) mini 4×4 Truck
- One (1) Truck
The acquisition of these machinery units is anticipated to make a substantial impact on the agricultural productivity and efficiency within the area.
These tools and machinery are poised to revolutionize farming operations, empowering the ARBs to elevate their agricultural output and generate higher incomes.
This momentous occasion signifies a significant stride in the successful implementation of agrarian reform programs, further advancing the goals of empowering farmers and promoting equitable land ownership.
Through the provision of land ownership and crucial resources, the DAR, alongside its dedicated officials, is committed to empowering ARBs and fostering a sustainable and prosperous agricultural sector in Kalinga.
The ripple effect of these initiatives is expected to resonate throughout the region, catalyzing economic growth and enhancing the livelihoods of numerous farming communities.
The event garnered unwavering support from various key stakeholders, including Kalinga lone district representative Allen Jesse C. Mangaoang, DAR undersecretary for Field Operations Office (FOO) Kazel C. Celeste, DAR assistant secretary for FOO Marjorie P. Ayson, DAR assistant secretary for Support Services Office Ubaldo R. Sadiarin, Jr., DAR Cordillera Administrative Region regional director Samuel S. Solomero, concerned LGUs, and personnel.
