BAGUIO CITY — A pick-up truck and a taxi collided late Sunday morning at the busy Abanao Street intersection in Baguio City, causing temporary traffic disruption near the approaches to Harrison Road, Session Road, and Magsaysay Avenue.
The incident happened between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m., when the taxi was making a left turn toward Magsaysay/Session Road.
A pick-up struck the taxi during the maneuver, before also turning left and eventually stopping under the overpass.
Traffic enforcers on site instructed the taxi driver to follow the pick-up to its stopping point so they could properly assess the situation.
Witnesses said motorists honked their horns repeatedly to draw attention to the pick-up driver and discourage him from leaving the scene.
