MANILA, July 7 — Union Bank of the Philippines said its private banking arm has won three international honors at the 2026 Global Private Banker Innovation Awards, recognizing its wealth management services, client experience and programs designed to prepare the next generation of family wealth stewards.

The bank said UnionBank Private received the awards for Best Next-Generation Offering – Philippines, Best Private Bank for Client Experience – Philippines, and Excellence in Intergenerational Services by a Private Bank.

The annual Global Private Banker Innovation Awards recognize private banks and wealth managers for innovation, client service and leadership.

UnionBank said this year’s awards drew increased participation from global private banks, wealth managers and family offices.

The recognition highlights the bank’s strategy of expanding wealth management services beyond investment advice to include succession planning, leadership development and long-term legacy preservation for ultra-high-net-worth clients.

“We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to helping our clients preserve their wealth for succeeding generations. One of the challenges of managing and preserving multi-generational wealth is the difference in perspectives and priorities,” UnionBank Head of Wealth Management Gauraw Srivastava said in a statement.

Srivastava said UnionBank Private’s programs are designed to help younger family members develop financial, leadership and business management capabilities to support long-term family wealth.

The bank said its NextGen Academy received the Best Next-Generation Offering award for helping younger members of affluent families build financial knowledge and leadership skills early in their careers.

Meanwhile, its LeGen (Leading Generation) program, which forms part of the NextGen Academy, was recognized for promoting discussions between senior and younger family members on succession planning, wealth transfer and legacy management through mentoring and peer-learning sessions.

UnionBank said judges also cited its personalized advisory approach in awarding it Best Private Bank for Client Experience, recognizing its efforts to help high-net-worth clients navigate complex financial decisions.

The awards come as wealth management firms increasingly tailor services to meet growing demand for personalized advice, family governance and intergenerational wealth planning.

UnionBank said it will continue developing integrated wealth management solutions that support clients through wealth creation, preservation and succession.
