Two street level drug personalities busted in Benguet

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Two street level drug personalities will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after they were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Sitio Lamtang, Brgy Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet on April 24, 2024. 

 

Based on the report submitted to the PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN David K. Peredo, Jr., the arrested suspects were identified as a 28-year-old male and a 26-year-old male, both residents of Brgy Kayapa in Bakun, Benguet, and listed as Street Level Individuals (SLIs).

 

The same report disclosed that the suspects were arrested by the joint operatives of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, Benguet PPO-Provincial Intelligence Unit, and PDEA-CAR after they sold two bricks and two round packs of suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing more or less 4,000 grams with a Standard Drug Price of Php480,000.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.

 

The markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence recovered were conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects and witnessed by media representative Darius M. Bajo; DOJ representative Prosecutor Arthur Bataclao; and Barangay Kagawad Jason Bulasao of Puguis, La Trinidad.

 

The arrested suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the PDEA-CAR Office in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet for documentation and proper disposition.
