SSS collaborates with Red Cross Baguio for blood donation campaign

BAGUIO CITY – Employees under the Social Security System (SSS) Luzon North 1 Division (LN1D) participated in the systemwide blood donation activity dubbed as “Dugong Alay, SSSagip buhay” last September 15, 2023 in Baguio City.

This collaborative activity with the Philippine Red Cross Baguio Chapter is part of SSS’ 66th Anniversary celebration.

Twenty-seven bags of blood were drawn from 40 employees of the LN1D offices, SSS Baguio and SSS La Trinidad who volunteered to donate.

LN1D vice president Ceasar P. Saludo willingly donated as a contributor.

“We know how important this noble activity is, most especially for those who are in dire need of blood transfusions or those undergoing medical treatment. This is also our way of saying thank you to all our stakeholders for their trust and confidence in the SSS for 66 years,” Saludo said.

Aside from Baguio, the blood donation activity was simultaneously conducted in the SSS Main Office in Quezon City, SSS Ormoc and SSS General Santos.
