SSS Baguio reminds employers of legal obligations
BAGUIO CITY, May 28 — The Social Security System (SSS) Baguio reminded employers and bookkeepers of their legal obligations under the Social Security Act of 2018 during its regular orientation seminar on Thursday.
SSS representatives outlined responsibilities mandated by Republic Act No. 11199, including timely contribution payments, compliance with membership requirements, and proper documentation.
The session also addressed common concerns raised by participants regarding SSS membership and compliance procedures.
The orientation, conducted by the Accounts Management Section of the Baguio Branch, forms part of SSS’s continuing efforts to strengthen awareness among business owners and accounting professionals about their role in ensuring social protection for workers.
Officials present included SSS Baguio Branch Head Nancy Umoso, Luzon North 1 Division Vice President Normita M. Cruz, and Luzon North 1 Legal Department representative Atty. Blesselda Acosta.
