SM City Baguio collaborates with BGHMC to support indigent patients
BAGUIO CITY – SM City Baguio, an avid supporter of the city’s commitment to responsible growth and improving the lives of communities, has partnered with the Baguio General Hospital Advisory Board, a non-government organization that links the hospital with the community.
SM is demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility through a donation of P100,000 in support of the 2nd International Food Festival scheduled for October 22, 2023.
This event aims to raise funds for indigent patients, providing much-needed support for surgeries and medications.
“Part of the proceeds will be used for indigent patients. We have a certain amount for indigent patients, and we have an amount for senior citizens also, as long as they make a request we give it to them. We are supporting Baguio residents or Cordillera, we have donations as far as Tarlac, that is the purpose of our organization. We are working hand in hand with Baguio General Hospital also, so I hope our relationship will last a long, long time because, without you, I don’t think any organization can survive without funding.” BGHMC Advisory Board vice chair and OIC Joseph Rulla said.
SM ensures that its corporate social responsibility programs serve as catalyst for positive change for the community it serves.
Today, SM City Baguio continues bolstering efforts on social good which promotes the accessibility to basic needs that are foundational in achieving long-term community development, and continues to be a leader in responsible and sustainable business practices for the benefit of all.
