SM City Baguio welcomes the season with dazzling Christmas launch

BAGUIO CITY — Christmas has officially arrived at SM City Baguio as the mall unveiled its much-anticipated holiday centerpiece on Friday evening, October 24, marking the joyous beginning of the season of love, light, and laughter in the Summer Capital.

Families, shoppers, and guests gathered for the grand celebration filled with music, surprises, and the shared spirit of togetherness.

The spectacular Christmas centerpiece, glowing with festive brilliance, once again captured the heart and warmth of Baguio’s Christmas charm — a tradition the mall continues to uphold each year.

Wholesome performances lit up the night, beginning with UBLES Small Voices, whose charming rendition of classic Christmas carols brought smiles to the excited crowd.

The musical ensemble Musar followed with a soulful Christmas serenade on piano and violin, enchanting audiences with melodies of peace and joy.

Ballet Baguio graced the stage with a beautiful holiday ballet piece, while Axis amped up the energy with a dynamic hip-hop dance number — blending classical elegance and modern rhythm into a celebration for all ages.

Adding even more delight were the SM Besties of Joy, four cuddly bunny characters created to remind everyone that the most meaningful gifts are not always wrapped in ribbons but expressed through kindness, generosity, and shared happiness.

The Besties will continue spreading joy around the community throughout the season — one hug, one smile, one bestie at a time.

Another highlight of the night was the unveiling of Christmas Village 2025: A Digital Holiday Wonderland, an interactive playground filled with games, challenges, and exclusive rewards.

Accessible via PlaySM and QR codes around the mall, shoppers can enjoy festive digital activities including Elf Your Selfie, Christmas Rush, Santa’s Gift Frenzy, and Santa’s AweSM Hunt — encouraging everyone to scan, play, and celebrate all season long.

The SM Holisquad — Santa, Reindeer, Elf, and Snowman — energized the evening with gifts, laughter, and magical moments that brought smiles to kids and adults throughout the launch.

SM City Baguio mall manager Philip S. Baysac expressed his warm welcome and gratitude to all partners and guests who took part in the celebration.

The official lighting of the mall’s grand Christmas tree was led by Baguio First Lady Arlene S. Magalong and City Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Aloysius “Alec” C. Mapalo, symbolizing the city’s united embrace of the holiday spirit.
