
BAGUIO CITY — The Police Regional Office–Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) seized PhP88,952,672.00 worth of illegal drugs and arrested 34 drug personalities during 101 anti-illegal drug operations conducted from December 1 to 31, 2025.
Based on data from the Regional Operations Division, the operations consisted of 71 marijuana eradication efforts, 14 buy-bust operations, 11 search warrant implementations, three police responses, and one service of a warrant of arrest.
The month-long campaign resulted in the confiscation of 260.60 grams of shabu, 390,060 fully grown marijuana plants, 67,606.60 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, and 26,320 marijuana seedlings, all with a combined Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP88.95 million.
Of the 34 individuals arrested, 25 were identified as Street Level Individuals (SLIs), while nine were classified as High Value Individuals (HVIs).
The Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) recorded the highest value of seized illegal drugs at PhP51,978,252.00, followed by the Kalinga PPO with PhP35,770,412.00 worth of confiscated drugs.
Other provincial units also reported seizures during the period.
The Mountain Province PPO confiscated illegal drugs valued at PhP1,009,732.00, while the Baguio City Police Office seized suspected shabu worth PhP176,120.00.
Meanwhile, the Abra PPO confiscated suspected shabu valued at PhP8,500.00, the Apayao PPO seized suspected shabu worth PhP7,480.00, and the Ifugao PPO reported the confiscation of suspected shabu with an SDP of PhP2,176.00.
PRO CAR said the sustained operations underscore its commitment to dismantling illegal drug networks and protecting communities across the Cordillera region, while continuing community education, prevention, and rehabilitation efforts in partnership with local stakeholders.
