PRO CAR promotes three officers to lieutenant colonel
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — Three police officers in the Cordillera Administrative Region have been promoted to lieutenant colonel, marking a key career milestone under the Philippine National Police’s continuing promotion program.
The promotions were formalized during a simultaneous oath-taking and donning of ranks ceremony held March 18 at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, led by the regional director.
The newly promoted officers were Irving O. Keryao and Jaime K. Bang-i of the Abra Police Provincial Office, and Matthew T. Burgos of the Baguio City Police Office.
Senior police officials, regional and special staff, representatives from the National Police Commission, and families of the promotees attended the ceremony.
In his remarks, PRO CAR director PBGEN Ericson D. Dilag said the promotions recognize not only past accomplishments but also signal greater responsibility, urging the officers to demonstrate leadership, integrity, and mentorship in their expanded roles.
The officers earned their new rank after passing a screening and evaluation process conducted by the Promotion Board, underscoring their record of professionalism and commitment to public service.
Officials said the advancement reflects the organization’s continued effort to develop capable and principled leaders in the region.
