PRO CAR elevates 553 police officers

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — A total of 553 police officers from the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) and its Regional Support Units (RSUs) were formally promoted during the Simultaneous Oath-Taking, Donning, and Pinning of Ranks on December 15.

The promotions were granted under the CY 2025 PLTCOL Continuous and Regular Promotions program for 2nd Level Uniformed Personnel.

The main ceremony was held at Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet, with simultaneous rites conducted at the Police Provincial Offices of Abra, Apayao, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

Of the total number promoted, PRO CAR accounted for 12 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and 516 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs), while the RSUs recorded the promotion of one PCO and 24 PNCOs.

The ceremony was led by PBGEN Ericson D. Dilag, Regional Director of PRO CAR, and attended by National Police Commission–CAR officials, including Acting Assistant Regional Director Nathaniel A. Cayaba and Benguet Provincial Director Atty. Zayne Mark Bongayon.

Also present were members of the PRO CAR Command Group, personnel from the Benguet Police Provincial Office, Baguio City Police Office, RSUs, and the families and friends of the promotees.

Key highlights included the reading of promotion orders by PCOL Francisco B. Bulwayan Jr., Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, followed by mass oath-taking, the donning and pinning of rank insignia led by PBGEN Dilag, and the blessing of accoutrements officiated by Rev. Father (PCPT) Jezzryl P. Failagmao of the Regional Pastoral Office.

In his message, PBGEN Dilag congratulated the newly promoted officers and emphasized the increased responsibility that comes with higher rank, urging them to uphold professionalism and public trust in line with the PNP’s vision of a “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
