PNP promises smooth and honest BSKE 2023

QUEZON CITY – Regional Directors from the seventeen Police Regional Offices (PROs) nationwide attended the Command Conference held at the Multi-Purpose Center in Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City, on October 16, 2023. 

The conference was presided over by Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Benjamin C. Acorda, Jr. , and was attended by members of the PNP Command Group, PNP Directorial Staff, Chiefs of the National Support Units, and the Regional Directors from the different Police Regional Offices (PROs).

During the conference, the regional directors provided updates on several critical aspects related to the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2023.

These included preparations for the elections, areas of concern, the deployment of Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF), training of PNP personnel as potential alternatives to the Board of Election Inspectors at voting centers, progress on the “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan” (BIDA) Program, achievements and updates regarding the implementation of the Chief PNP’s Five-Focused Agenda, and various other pertinent issues.

PGEN Acorda, Jr. directed the Regional Directors to ensure peace and order in their areas of responsibility and to accomplish all the necessary preparations for the upcoming BSKE 2023.

In his guidance during the press briefing, PGEN Acorda, Jr. assured that the PNP will do their best to make sure that the BSKE 2023 will be done in an honest, peaceful, and orderly way.

He also reiterated the importance of an engaged community.

“The no. 1 enemy of the public is silence. Sana wag tayong maging tahimik kung may nakikita tayong mga katiwalian. Isumbong agad sa kapulisan. Rest assured na ang inyong kapulisan ay andyan pa rin at mapagkakatiwalaan,” PGEN Acorda said.
