13 Baguio health centers accredited for PhilHealth Konsulta program

BAGUIO CITY – Thirteen District Health Centers out of 16 DHCs in Baguio City have been accredited by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) program provider.

This was announced by Janet Palaez, Chief Social Insurance Officer of PhilHealth Baguio, in a forum held March 20, 2025.

Members can now avail of the PhilHealth Konsulta after registering in any of the accredited DHC Konsulta providers as follows: Asin, Atab, Atok Trail, Campo Filipino, City Camp, Engineer’s Hill, Irisan, Loakan, Lucban, Pacdal, Pinsao, Quirino Hill, Quezon Hill.

PhilHealth’s Konsulta program aims to provide primary care benefits for its members including consultation and case management, medicines, laboratory, assisting eligible beneficiaries in assessing services in partner facilities, and referral to specialty or higher level of care.

There are also 13 laboratory tests that can be availed of including as CBC with platelet count, urinalysis, fecalysis, sputum microscopy, and fecal occult blood.

Aside from the 13 district health centers, the other health care facilities that were accredited to provide Konsulta package are the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, Philippine Military Academy and the Olympian Medical and Diagnostic Center.

Pelaez also announced that PhilHealth’s 45-day benefit limit will be lifted this year extending the number of sessions covered by hemodialysis packages – from the initial 90 to the current 156 sessions per year.

Pelaez also announced a 50% increase in PhilHealth benefits, covering over 9,000 diseases.
