BAGUIO CITY — The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) announces a crime-free weekend during the Panagbenga Grand Street Dance Parade and Grand Floral Float Parade, held on February 22 and 23, 2025.

The smooth and orderly conduct of these highly anticipated events was a product of careful planning, strategic coordination, and multi-sector collaboration.

Months before the festival, BCPO worked closely with the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation, Inc. (BFFFI), local government agencies, and key stakeholders to develop comprehensive security and traffic management plans.

Extensive public information efforts were also carried out to ensure that safety reminders, road advisories, and other important announcements reached a wide audience through various platforms.

BCPO’s security operations were further reinforced with the augmentation of personnel from the Police Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region, led by PBGEN David K. Peredo.

The visible police presence, combined with proactive law enforcement measures, effectively deterred criminal activities and ensured a safe environment for all.

According to BCPO, the success of these events was made possible by the cooperation of the public, whose vigilance and adherence to security measures significantly contributed to the safety of all.

“The peaceful and orderly celebration of Panagbenga is a testament to our collective efforts in keeping Baguio safe. Maraming salamat sa mga nakiisa at palaging tandaan na kaagapay ninyo ang BCPO para sa ligtas at maginhawang paglalakbay sa siyudad ng Baguio,” said PCOL Ruel D. Tagel, BCPO City Director.

To further enhance public safety and convenience, BCPO encourages everyone to use the BCPO View Baguio App, which provides real-time updates, emergency assistance, and direct access to police and other government services.

The QR code for the app is available on the BCPO Facebook page, police stations, and Police Assistance Desks (PADs) citywide.
