BAGUIO CITY — The newly elected officials of Baguio City took part in their first official engagement during the Flag Raising Ceremony held on Monday, July 7, at the Baguio City Hall grounds.

City government employees, personnel from various national line agencies, and the public witnessed the event, which highlighted the presence of Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Congressman Mauricio Domogan, Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan, and the newly elected members of the City Council.

This ceremony marked the first official public appearance of the city’s new leadership following their election in the May 12, 2025 National and Local Elections.

They formally assumed office on July 1, 2025.

Mayor Magalong addressed the attendees with a message of unity and transparency, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration between the local government and national agencies in delivering efficient public service.

The flag ceremony also symbolized a renewed commitment to good governance, setting the tone for the administration’s priorities in the coming months.
