Mang Inasal, recognized as the Philippines’ premier grill expert, has taken a significant stride towards environmental sustainability.
As part of the Jollibee Group’s initiative to embrace renewable energy, Mang Inasal President Mike V. Castro, affirmed their commitment.
“In support of Jollibee Group’s efforts to shift to renewable energy, Mang Inasal is taking initial steps towards environmental sustainability, and being a highly franchised brand, we are thankful that our franchisees back us up in this endeavor,” Castro emphasized.
In Zamboanga, the Sindangan and Molave stores have spearheaded this eco-conscious effort by integrating solar panels, marking a pivotal moment in Mang Inasal’s journey.
Hanzel Uy, franchisee of Mang Inasal Sindangan, highlighted the business’s newfound significance, not only in cost-efficient energy consumption but also in securing a healthier world for posterity.
“Apart from the long-term savings on utility costs, we feel good knowing that we are able to contribute to a cleaner environment by tapping renewable source of energy,” Uy expressed.
The adoption of solar panel-mounted rooftops has already yielded substantial results.
In Sindangan and Molave, an estimated annual savings of 48,000-kilowatt hours has been achieved, while concurrently reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 34,000 kg.
