LA TRINIDAD, Benguet PRO Cordillera regional director David K. Peredo, Jr. visited the La Trinidad Central School in Poblacion and the Benguet National High School in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, to ensure the security and safety of students during the Balik Eskwela or the opening of classes.

The Regional Director was accompanied by PROCOR deputy regional director for Operations Ronald V. Gayo, Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) provincial director Damian D. Olsim, Benguet PPO Provincial Operations Management Unit chief Denver P. Guzman, and La Trinidad Municipal Police Station acting chief of Police Leonard A. Danasen.

During the visit, PBGEN Peredo Jr. encouraged learners to avoid bad vices, do well in their studies, and persevere to become successful.

Peredo has proactively instructed unit commanders to bolster law enforcement efforts within schools, transportation hubs, and points of convergence, as a pre-emptive measure to enhance preparedness.

This entails ramping up patrols, facilitating smooth traffic flow through adept direction and control, providing aid to pedestrians, with special attention to students navigating roadways, and strategically situating Police Assistance Desks (PADs) in proximity to school entrances.

Furthermore, the Regional Director has affirmed that PRO Cordillera will persist in its support for school activities, guaranteeing the continued deployment of police officers on school premises.
